COMMUNICATION FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

At the beginning of 2020, the Association of Laryngectomized People of Huelva was designated for the organization of the XIII INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF LARYNGECTOMIZED PEOPLE, which would be held in Huelva on May 8 and 9 of that same year, taking over from the Murcian colleagues.

With the start of the pandemic escalation in March, and given the uncertainty of the course that the spread of the disease would take, the Board of Directors of the Association adopted the Agreement to postpone the holding of the Assembly initially scheduled for the month of May, to October, with the hope that by then the pandemic crisis would have subsided or that adequate vaccines would be available to prevent contagion.

Already in August, and without a glimpse of control of the situation, the Board of Directors decided to announce a new postponement until the spring of 2021, and always with the appropriate guarantees. As no dates have been set and despite the fact that it was not possible to hold it, the Board of Directors did not again indicate a new call due to the uncertainty that the succession of new waves brought with it.

In view of the existing uncertainty about the end of the crisis situation, the Board of Directors decided to definitively suspend the holding of the Assembly.

Once the health emergency was overcome, it was finally Zamora's colleagues who were in charge of organizing the Assembly, which finally took place in June 2022, once again designating the Association of Laryngectomized People of Huelva for the organization of the next and Thanking again for the confidence expressed...
